I got a cheap ham from Publix. I read a lot of recipes on how to glaze ham. They suggested ingredients like mango chutney, gingersnaps and orange marmalade.
I went with the basics:
Dijon mustard and brown sugar. It was also what I had on hand.

I just slathered on Dijon mustard on the outside and then put a thick layer of brown sugar. I let it sit for a while so that there was a pool of mustardy syrup on the bottom, which I used as a basting liquid when I baked this for about 75 minutes at 300F. It was good.
RECIPE RANT:
Don't you hate it when you read a recipe and it has this one exotic ingredient that you don't know? And you spend all this time looking for? Because you have no idea if it is the key to the most delicious thing ever? And then you bother to look for it and then next thing you know you have a bottle of fenugreek that you used once and have shoved to the back of the spice cabinet because the recipe was not that great?
