Not Nigella Lawson's Praised Chicken

When you watch a cooking show and find a recipe that intrigues you, do you look up the recipe or kinda remember what it was and just wing it?

That is what I did for this recipe. I took a cut up chicken, browned it, added some peppercorns, onion, celery, carrots and garlic. I covered it with water and let it simmer for about two hours.

I served it with rice for lunch.

I got the idea from watching Nigella Lawson talk about her mother's praised chicken.
