McDonald's Mighty Wings

So through a coupon sent by McDonald's I got to try a five pack of their new Mighty Wings.




I want to say something nice about them because I got free food.  I cannot.  They are salty.  I mean SALTY.  And honestly, they made me ill.

But they have a nice crunch.  So there, I did say something nice.

Kidlet Lunch

Home grown cucumber, tomatoes, strawberries, champagne grapes, string cheese, granola bar, and mini pizza.

Tuna

This is how I like my tuna steaks.

Barely cooked.

First Day of School Dinner

Kidlet got to choose dinner in honor of the first day of school.  She chose




Chicken fingers



and hand cut fries.


I insisted on the tomato slices.

School Lunch

I pack my kid's lunch.  It is something that I like to do.  I know, I am an odd person.    Today was the first day of school for kidlet so she got a little note.

This is a half a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, graham crackers, a granola bar, strawberries, cucumbers and a cheese stick.

No she did not really eat too much of this.  She was too busy chatting.

Garden Meal

This is what most of our dinners look like. We eat a lot of tomatoes.

Heirloom Tomatoes

This year, we only grew heirloom tomatoes.

Yes they are tasty and pretty and what not. 

But next year, we are putting some hybrids in the ground.

Because it has been a long frustrating growing season with a small freaking yield.

Pizza Night

Pizza night is an excellent way to use up the odd bits and ends in your fridge.  This is a Canadian bacon, tomato and cheese pizza.
