My new favorite food show

I have a new favorite cooking show.  It is irreverent and interesting.  It is offensive and amusing.  I particularly like the sidekicks constant patter.  They are full of bullshit and occasional insight.

First Fresh Foods Chicken Sausage Review

I received some chicken sausages from First Fresh Foods to review.

So we had some with our breakfast for dinner.  I poached them gently in water.

Then we grilled the rest.

How were they, you ask?

They were great.  They were less fatty than pork sausage and they were well seasoned.  The breakfast sausage was better with a little maple syrup to dip in.  And the Italian sausage were well flavored with fennel.

Would I buy these?  Yes I would.

These sausages are made in Georgia and available in the metro Atlanta area.

I was not paid for this post but I was given some sausage to sample.  The opinions are all mine.

Insulated Coffee Cup Off

I am very serious about the temperature of my beverages.  I do not like anything lukewarm.  I like my coffee scalding hot and my Coke Zero ice cold.

I found a few travel coffee cups in my cupboard and wanted to know which was best for keeping the coffee hot and drinking it hot.

So I took these three I insulated travel coffee cups and did a comparison.

The three I did for comparison were the Thermos 16 ounce travel tumbler, the Reduce Everyday Ridge Thermal Tumbler, the Contigo 20 ounce Snap Seal.

I filled each one with water from a recently boiled kettle and just left them on the counter.  After about an hour I measured how much the water had cooled off.

Here is the chart held by my youngest

I prefer in the reduce everyday cup because I cannot drink more that 12 ounces of coffee at a time.  Twenty ounces of coffee is just too much for me.  I would be just too jumpy.  The Thermos has a lid that makes it difficult to drink the coffee.

Did you know that Goya sells empanadas discos?

So I made some ham and cheese ones.
